Adriano Casanova - Owner- Baro Galeria - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Who is your favorite artist (that you don’t represent)?
Jack Leirner
What do you think is the most exciting city for art right now?
Of course Sao Paulo, Brazil
Why do you do this fair in particular?
This year we were invited for the focus on Latin America. This is a very nice fair.
What do you like best about doing fairs?
Meeting new people, contact with people in other cities.
How do you select the artists/works you will bring to each art fair?
Everything we brought with us is Latin American. The work is related to design and literature, it works well when everything is connected to the arts like this.
Dane Reinacher - Director - Galerie Michael Janssen - Berlin, Germany

Who is your favorite artist (that you don’t represent)?
I can’t answer that question.
What do you think is the most exciting city for art right now?
Berlin
Why do you do this fair in particular?
We have a lot of American clients as well as American artists. It’s important for us to do this fair because it is in New York.
What do you like best about doing fairs?
This is a very difficult question to answer. If I have to say something, I enjoy the social aspect, the contacts and that it is good for sales.
How do you select the artists/works you will bring to each art fair?
We know what our clients are looking for at this fair, we try to bring something that they will like as well as something new. We have some new artists from Los Angeles that we brought this time because our American clients like these works.
Urs Meile - Owner - Galerie Urs Meile - Beijing/Lucerne

Who is your favorite artist (that you don’t represent)?
Wow, I really don’t know. This is a very difficult question
What do you think is the most exciting city for art right now?
Hahaha, these questions are very special! It depends on what you are looking for. Obviously I will say New York but also Beijing and Berlin.
Why do you do this fair in particular?
I did it before a few years ago and it went very well. We have lots of collectors from New York and we always meet lots of new, interesting people here.
What do you like best about doing fairs?
There is no favorite part, I do not like to do fairs. I would prefer to come to New York and see New York and not have to sit in here all day. However, the fairs are very important and we meet lots of new people in a very short amount of time
How do you select the artists/works you will bring to each fair?
We choose the artists depending on what city we are going to be in. It depends on the actual space of the booth, we like to give each artist their own space, it is a matter of concept. Also, it depends on what works are available by my artists at the time of the fairs.
Nechami Gottlib - Owner - NOGA Gallery of Contemporary Art - Tel-Aviv, Israel

Who is your favorite artist (that you don’t represent)?
Gabriel Orozco
What do you think is the most exciting city for art right now?
London and Berlin
Why do you do this fair in particular?
This is an important fair for us to represent artists from Israel. There is a lot of attention on Israeli artists right now and we like to bring even more and to show the new artists as well.
What do you like best about doing fairs?
IF there is something… I like to meet colleagues from all over the world. I very much enjoy the exchange of ideas.
How do you select the artists/works you will bring to each fair?
It really depends on what art fair you are doing. This year we decided to focus on painting and brought many young artists. Other years we focused on sculpture or other mediums.

With my little eye, something that is… awesome
